RC
Unique tool for recession curves analysis of springs and rivers. The program allows you to quickly separate individual recession curves from a hydrograph, and then analyze the individual recession curves or the master recession curve. To assemble the master recession curve, you can use a manual method or the new method based on a hybrid genetic algorithm.

RC tool is prepared for complex processing of recession curves
analysis. Into the program can be imported daily or weekly types of time-series (river discharges
or spring yields and daily precipitations).
Using multiple tools you can select from input data individual recession curves.
In program are prepared features for automatic synchronization and display of discharges and precipitation
in one chart. Recession curves you can select automatically or also manually.
After recession curves selection, they can be edited,
deleted or analysed by other automated / manual tools and procedures.
If recession curves are prepared, you can continue to analyzing them. The program allows you to analyse individual recession curves
or create and analyse the master recession curve.
For the analysis of recession curves you can use 13 recession models:
- Linear reservoir
- Horton double exponential model
- Coutagne model
- Padilla model
- Channel storage banks
- Exponential reservoir
- Dupuit-Boussinesq aquifer storage model
- Depression storage / Detention storage
- Cavern storage
- Hyperbola reservoir
- Constant reservoir
- Turbulent model
- Hyperbolic model
With these individual recession models is possible to create superposition,
thanks that you can analyse the runoff from really variable natural conditions.
The program allows you to export all results in table or graphical form.
For master
recession curve assembling you can use two procedures. The first is the assembling by manual procedure. Into window are
imported all recession curves and user then manually moves then on
time-line until individual recession curves creates one coherent master
recession curve.
Another way is to use a new (unique) algorithm, which was
developed for this purpose and use a
combination of strongly hybridized genetic algorithm and the method of artificial
immune system. This algorithm can be used to assembling the master recession curve
from a small number recession curves, recession curves from difficult drainage conditions,
with inaccurate measurements, from segments of recession curves or from recession curves
affected by hydrological and meteorological regime.
